The first time I saw the mountains on a drive outside of Seattle I cried.

And every time after that, still as excited as the first time. Can you believe we just casually live amongst giants? How can anyone tire of seeing Rainier peak out on a clear day?

I started making my mountain artworks the second I moved to Seattle. Never had I experienced anything like this. They tied me down to this place and now I can’t see myself living anywhere else… I’ve built roots at these foothills.
